I was quite taken by this story reported on the BBC about a pensioner, Frances Polack, who is so concerned that she might be resuscitated by the Emergency Services against her will should she ever keel over unexpectedly that she had this tattoo placed over her heart.

Apparently she’s concerned that medical personnel wouldn’t stop in an emergency to check her documented wishes and hopes that the presence of the tattoo might prove to be a bit more difficult to overlook.
